Food terrorism is pretty scary too

18 Feb

What do you get when you mix Al Qaeda and food Nazis? You get Finland’s Food Liberation Army. Seriously, I thought food fascists in North America were bad, but these guys take the… err… burger.

As you can tell from the video below, the group thought it would be a good idea to make a point by demanding McDonalds answer some questions about its operating practices in the style of an Al Qaeda hostage video. With a hooded Ronald McDonald surrounded by masked members of the FLA, the group urged the fast-food chain to explain things like what sort of additives it uses in its products, and why it doesn’t do anything to combat obesity. Here’s the rather tasteless video:

Holding true to the style, the group threatened to execute Ronald if their demands were not met, which of course they weren’t. Here’s the somewhat disturbing video. All I can say is, jeez-us.

I dunno….. he had it coming!
Think about it – When was the last time you saw Grimace?
I’ll bet he was sacked because he was too fat.
There is a law suit somewhere here… 😉

It’s true – where the hell is Grimace? We haven’t seen him in ages!

Methinks you’ve just found yourself something interesting to research. It would be cool to find out how Grimace came into being, and more importantly, why he was dropped like a hot-potato. My guess would be the bad optics of having a fat character associated with a fat food that is trying to convince people that it isn’t all that bad. Poor Grimace… I’ll bet he’s no longer laughing and smiling! Or maybe he had a heart attack and kicked off? 😉
